Highlights from the 18th Annual Dinner and Business Expo

Mary Cripe, Middlebury Town Manger delivered the State of the Town of Middlebury Address
Suzie Weirick, Elkhart County Commissioner captivated the 2021 Middlebury Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner and Business Expo attendees.
Jason Bontrager, president of the Middlebury Chamber of Commerce, shares the significance of the Beautification Award with the audience. Jason announces the awardees to be recognized at the 18th Annual Middlebury Chamber of Commerce Member Dinner & Business Expo.

The Beautification Award is designed to recognize Middlebury business owners whose properties reflect pride of ownership and commitment to the beautification of the town thereby contributing in a positive manner to the overall appearance of the Middlebury community. The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce five awards for 2020. We want to say thank you to the recipients not only for their courage but for all of their work poured into their business during a very challenging year. You are real pacesetters and an encouragement to all of us.

Middlebury’s “Joyfully Said” was a recipient of this year’s 2020 Business Beautification award at the Middlebury Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Dinner and Business Expo. Check them out at the above link provided.
Esther’s Hilltop Restaurant received this year’s 2020 Business Beautification Award from the Middlebury Chamber of Commerce. You will find their menu at the above link. Great breakfast and lunch spot.
Among the 2020 Beautification Awards was WEST ON WARREN. The new outside area was created to offer outdoor space in the summer but provide a more open higher capacity space year-round. All the locals enjoy the new outdoor dining area, great food, entertainment, and the best of networking. Click on the above link to take a tour of West On Warren.
Wedgewood Brewery received the 2020 Beautification Award for their expansion to include a beautiful restaurant high-lighting local and quality foods to create a diverse and fresh menu.

Middlebury General Store was not present to accept their 2020 Beautification Award. Congratulation to their team.

2020 Volunteer of the Year

Mike Ganger was the recipient of the Middlebury Chamber of Commerce award for Volunteer of the year at their annual dinner. Thanks, Mike for all you do for the community.
Attendees stood to applauded Jane Allen as she accepted the Wilbur Bontrager Servant Award at the 18th Annual Member Dinner & Business Expo hosted by the Middlebury Chamber of Commerce. Jane Allen, Superintendent of Middlebury Community Schools is retiring at the end of June 2021. Jane plans to still be active in the community especially with “The Stables”. Wilbur Bontrager and Sarah Bontrager presented the award.
Jason Bontrager, President of the Middlebury Chamber of Commerce Board presented an appreciation plaque to the newest Gold Legacy Member; the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. Jodi Spataro, Cheif Advancement Officer accepted on behalf of the Foundation.
Legacy members are committed businesses and organizations that take a leadership role in our efforts to accelerate business growth and prosperity in the community.
